Elizabeth Ames was born in Arequipa in 1964, Peru. Ames’s inclination for art began at an
early age. Between the years 1983 and 1988, she studied in the School of Fine Arts/Carlos
Bacaflor in the city of Arequipa, Peru. She practiced her painting with Victor Turpo and worked
with Mauro Castillo, large painters specializing themselves in the technique of oil acrylics and
watercolor.
She also studied at The Art School/Corriente Alterna, Suarez Vertiz workshop in Lima. Peru,
The Boca Raton Art School and The University of Miami.
Elizabeth Ames has participated in several expositions in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and United
States. She currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she has an active artistic work.
